Hi, I'm Tammy Jackson.
Welcome to My Full and Fulfilled Life!
If you are tired of feeling ashamed, stuck on the diet rollercoaster, and always hungry for more, then this is the place for you.
I'm going to share with you the keys that I have discovered to unlock a life that I love.
I haven't always had a full and fulfilled life. I am someone that struggled with self-esteem and weight for more than 30 years of my life.
I've tried every diet out there, including the radical and unhealthy ones. I've tried the medications and even the surgery.
I was always successful at losing the weight. What I wasn't successful at was keeping it off. Inevitably, every pound and more came back.
I learned to take refuge in food.
In fact, food became my very best friend.
But I also learned to suppress my emotions, to put on a show and be who everyone expected me to be.
But inside, I wasn't very happy.
As I sought a way out of this self sabotage, I have worked with counselors, spiritual directors, fitness experts, nutritionists, and medical doctors.
Each held a piece of my healing, but none of them could help me reach full healing and wholeness.
So, I struck out on my own, searching for answers.
Along the way, I got certifications in yoga, spiritual direction, life coaching, health coaching, nutrition, and group fitness. [I added all of that to the undergraduate degree in Psychology and Counseling, the Master’s in Christian Education, and the Master of Divinity from seminary.]
Eventually, all the pieces fell into place, and I discovered that I could create a full and fulfilling life.
And now I want to share that with you too.
Physical Hunger
The first is physical hunger.
This is the most obvious. It's about our body's need for nourishment. It's about listening to and honoring your body's need for nutrition, sleep, movement, and water.
Soul Hunger
The second is soul hunger.
Often overlooked, soul hunger represents our emotional and intellectual needs. It's our desire for connection, emotional expression, creativity, and intellectual engagement. When you neglect soul hunger, You feel emotionally drained and intellectually unstimulated.
Spirit Hunger
And third is spirit hunger.
This is our deep seated need for purpose, meaning, and connection with something greater than ourselves. It's about your spiritual growth and the legacy that you want to leave behind.
Ignoring spirit hunger leaves you feeling empty, no matter how much you try to fill yourself physically and emotionally.
Hidden Hungers
Many of us focus on physical hunger, trying diets and exercise plans, yet still feel unfulfilled. That's because our soul and spirit hungers, our hidden hungers, are still unsatisfied. Recognizing and addressing these hidden hungers is crucial for creating a balanced and satisfying life. This matters because unlocking a life that you love means understanding and satisfying all three types of hunger.
When we only address physical hunger, we stay stuck in a cycle of dieting and dissatisfaction. By nourishing your body, soul, and spirit, you achieve a holistic sense of fulfillment.
Here at My Full and Fulfilled Life, I'm not just going to talk about these three hungers and how to satisfy them, I'm going to bring you along and show you what they look like in my life.
And I hope that by sharing the keys I've learned and sharing my life with you, you'll You will have all the tools you need to create your own full and fulfilling life.
